Meet the Maker: Tinkering Evolution

Tinkering Evolution’s focus is to provide simple yet challenging tinkering activities to quickly engage families.

At the Sydney Mini Maker Faire, activities on display will include tower building using 10000 paper cups, wiggle bot art, making air horns using singing tubes and playing banana piano with Makey Makey. Tinkering Evolution is based at the Australian Scout Museum at Newington Armory and is a core component of the “Escape the Museum” activity program.

TinkeringEvolution.com is an evolving concept that started in 2003 with an experiment with drumming games which evolved into DrumzBuzz. This has expanded in recent years with new activities like “Making Tracks” – a social enterprise experiment, an the establishment of  an exit room activity called “Escape the Museum”, along with other tinkering and making activities.
