Solidifer is Australia’s first makerspace for hardware startups, primarily focused on pro makers who are designing products with a view to launching on Kickstarter.
Solidifier has a very strong founding team and is rapidly expanding our membership of pro makers, including industrial designers, electronics engineers, software engineers, fabricators, crowdfunding experts, manufacturing and distribution experts – all based within their newly minted premises on Oxford St, Darlinghurst.
Solidifer was founded by David Vandenberg, who has a wealth of experience running co-working communities. He was a founding Director of Fishburners and also founded the EngineRoom co-working spaces. He has been working in software startups for 15 years and is also a pro maker himself, having recently returned from Shenzhen, China to manufacture his DeskPass access/management system for shared spaces.
For the Sydney Mini Maker Faire, Solidifier plan to showcase a number of projects worked on by their community, within all stages of the development process.
