Robogals is a non-profit, student-run organisation that aims to involve school girls into engineering and science projects from a young age. It was founded by Marita Cheng (Young Australian of the Year 2012) at the University of Melbourne and has since spread throughout Australia and across the world.
Robogals provides hands-on activities like Lego robotics and simple engineering workshops to inspire girls and get them involved in the fields of engineering and science. Our long-term goal is to increase female enrolment in engineering, science and technology courses at the tertiary level. This year we have educated over 200 girls and we hope to continue to spread the Robogals message over the upcoming year.
